donn hedman

Donn Hedman is a professor of art at Indiana University of Pennsylvania.  He was discovered by Carmen at AnnMarie Garden's "Artsfest", where he received an award for "Best in Show" during his first year there.  That's probably not unusual for Hedman, whose list of grants, awards and honors, and exhibitions of note is literally 5 single spaced pages long!

Born the son of missionaries, Hedman spent much of his childhood in Africa.  The antelopes of the plains and African inspired figures appear on many of his award winning designs.  Both functional and beautiful, Hedman's work appears in collections around the world.  And, he's a very nice guy, to boot!  A few of his unique designs can be seen below.
